Gokyo Lake Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most challenging and adventurous treks in the Everest Region. This trek lies mostly in the Khumbu Region of Nepal providing you with the views of Gokyo Lakes, Cho La Pass, Gokyo Ri Viewpoint, and Khumbu Icefall. Also, you can view famous mountains like Everest, Pumori, Lhotse, Cho You, Nuptse etc. You can also visit Ngozumpa Glacier, Cho La Pass, Namche Bazaar etc.
The Gokyo Lake Everest Base Camp trek has a high requirement for the trekker’s physical condition. For this trek, the trekked should have a physical condition sufficient to walk 6 – 7 hours a day on rugged mountain terrain.
Gokyo Lakes are located in Sagarmatha National Park at an altitude of 4,700–5,000 m (15,400–16,400 ft) above sea level. Most of them were named after the Gokyo Ri peak (5484 m).

The Everest Base Camp lies at the elevation of 5,364 m (17,598 ft) and is the most popular base camp in Everest Region. More than 100,000 trekkers climb Everest Base Camp every year.
Currently, the base camp is 200-400m lower due to the high melting of Khumbu Glacier.

However, if you cannot handle such complications, have difficult health, or cannot adjust, this trek is not suitable for you.
