Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s most well-known treks. It’s a much easier and lower-altitude trek than some of Nepal’s other high-altitude treks. This journey encompasses a variety of terrain, culture, and wildlife, culminating at a summit elevation of 4130m/13549ft. The Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri have the most blowup and close-up perception.

It has many beautiful blossoms in the spring (March to May), notably the Nepalese national flower, the Rhododendron, Orchids, views of the Annapurna and Manaslu massifs, and the Kali Gandaki’s deepest gorge accompany you on your journey. On rare occasions, high-falling torrents can be seen. When visiting the Ghandruk historical and ethnic village, you may encounter people of many identities, mainly Gurung people. However, depending on whatever road you pick, you may or may not pass through Ghandruk. From Chomrung onwards, the path is largely identical, however you can choose to include or exclude Ghorepani Poon Hill and Ghandruk. Poonhill is a great place to see the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, as well as several peaks, especially between sunrise and sunset.

The route to Annapurna Base Camp can begin in a few locations surrounding Pokhara, Nepal’s lakeside capital. You have two options for getting to Pokhara: by road or by air. There are a few daily flights available, but the 30-minute journey is undoubtedly the most convenient. It is also possible to get to Pokhara by car. Travelers have the option of hiring a private luxury car or taking the local bus. They are, however, substantially slower, taking 6-7 hours to cover 200 kilometers.

Highlights of Annapurna Base Camp

• Can have great time in Pokhara

• View of the world’s highest mountains: Dhaulagiri I (7th) and Annapurna I (10th) and Manaslu
• Sunrise view at Mt. Annapurna
• Overnight stay at Annapurna Base Camp
• Spectacular mountain and glacier views
